The Bracknell Urgent Care Centre (UCC)

Please note that the UCC is to be accessed for minor injuries at any time and for minor illness only outside of your GP surgery hours.

Please check our opening times on this website before visiting the UCC.

Please note that the UCC can not do any of the following -

Ear syringing

Repeat and post op dressings

Direct xray/bloods/ECG/other diagnostics.

The UCC is a nurse led unit and and therefore any illness should be dealt with by your GP during opening hours or Out Of Hours (111) when your GP surgery is closed.

Phone lines for Urgent appointments are open from 7.00 am to 10.00 am. You will be asked to leave your name, date of birth, contact number and brief message about your illness. The clinician will call you back the same day.

The NHS friends and family test started on 1/12/2014. If you would like to leave feedback for this surgery, please respond to any texts that you receive following your appointments.

Thank you for taking the time to do this for the practice.

medication4Repeat Prescriptions

Due to safety regulations, it is not possible to accept requests over the phone, by email or hand written. You must use the right hand side of the prescription. It will take 3 working days to issue a prescription. In some cases it may take more time due to the need for medication review.

If you request medication you have not used for over 6 months, it can not be requested as repeats.   A special request can be made in writing to the surgery or call our triage line (01344 457535) between 7.00 am – 10.00 am on working days. The prescription will take 5 working days to be issued.

Registering for Patient Online Access is advised, where the prescription can be requested online, it comes to the Doctors’ inbox directly, the prescription gets sent electronically (EPS) to the chemist of your choice for collection. This ensures faster processing for next day delivery. Please visit our Website or ask Reception for details. You should be able to book appointments too and many more features are regularly added.

You can also request prescriptions through your Chemist by instructing the chemist to request your monthly repeats from the surgery.
